The Annual Conference for Conductors is traditionally held early in the new year in major cities around the world. Recent conferences have featured retrospectives of great conductors of the past and of American orchestras, sessions on concert hall acoustics, the role of the music director in arts education, physical ailments of conductors, conductor contracts, the in-depth presentation of new music by Guild members and performances by the host city's premier musical ensembles.
