2010 Conducting Workshop
for String Educators

The workshop will offer hands on conducting sessions with the SIUE chamber string ensemble and with a student string quintet. Active participants will conduct every day and will receive coaching and video review sessions.
Conductors at all levels are welcome. The emphasis is on creating a non-competitive and supportive environment.
Membership in the Conductors Guild is not required for this event.
There will also be a seminar/discussion group on score study, and a special presentation on rehearsal techniques for young orchestras given by Sandra Dackow and featuring the orchestra of the SIUE Suzuki Development Program.
Tchaikovsky: String Serenade (1st and 3rd movements)
Warlock: Capriol Suite (all movements)
Mozart: Eine kleine Nachtmusik (all movements)
Sandra Dackow: String orchestra arrangements (TBA)
$195 (active participants) $125 (auditors)
Active participant spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
