The Boise Baroque Orchestra and Boise State University Music Department will present a six-day conductor/string soloist workshop to explore repertoire from the 18th Century. Eight Conducting fellows and eight soloists will present two full public concerts with the Boise Baroque Orchestra. The festival will take place in Boise, Idaho on the campus of Boise State University from June 25 through June 30, 2020, with concerts on June 27 and June 30. Both concerts will be videotaped for participants from behind the orchestra as well as from the hall.


CONDUCTORING FELLOWS will study with Robert Franz, Artistic Director of the Boise Baroque Orchestra and Music Director of the Windsor Symphony Orchestra. Each fellow will have ample podium time to perform two movements from an 18th century symphony as well as a movement of a standard concerto.

AUDITION MATERIALS: resume plus 2 conducting videos of contrasting styles
(Baroque/Classical repertoire recommended, but not required)

TUITION FEES: Conducting Fellows (including video) $1300 (Food and housing not included) Conducting Auditors $ 500 (Food and housing not included)
