He enjoys sharing this art form with others and passing on his knowledge of classical music to the next generation. Winner of the 2019 International Conductors Workshop & Competition, Tedford currently holds the position of Conductor of the Bloomsburg University Community Orchestra. In addition, he is an Assistant Professor of Music at Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. Dedicated to serving arts communities beyond the podium, Tedford is co-founder and contributor to The Adore Project (https://theadoreproject.org/), which is a resource for promoting composers of underrepresented demographics. He is also involved with the Orchestra division of And We Were Heard (https://www.andwewereheard.org/), another organization helping to promote orchestra music written by underrepresented demographics. Additionally, Tedford serves on the board of directors of the Harmony Arts Foundation in Bloomsburg, PA, a non-profit organization that is oriented towards the advancement of music education through lessons for all ages. An avid educator, he has been a guest conductor for numerous high school orchestra festivals and workshops throughout the east coast and Midwest. Mr. Scott Terrell

Work Phone
Member Bio Music Director of the Lexington Philharmonic from 2009-2019, conductor Scott Terrell transformed the orchestra with his imaginative programs, engaging presence, and determined passion for artistic excellence and viability. An ardent champion of new music and diversity of repertoire, he was a visionary leader with a keen intellect for bringing context to the concert hall. Adept in a broad range of repertoire from masterworks of orchestral canon, new commissions, opera, and works beyond the mainstream, this American conductor can, as critics have noted, “program works that entertain and educate, innovate with new works and revitalize the old.” In great demand as a guest conductor, this past season included several important debuts including the Pittsburgh Symphony, San Diego Symphony, Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá (Colombia), Fort Worth Symphony and re-engagements with Arizona Opera, Baltimore Symphony, Rochester Philharmonic and the Aspen Music Festival and School. Maestro Terrell debuted with the Philadelphia Orchestra in an all-Gershwin program in 2017, as well as debuted with the St. Louis Symphony, Houston Symphony, Vancouver Symphony and the National Arts Centre Orchestra. He has been on the cover conductor staff of the Philadelphia Orchestra since 2012, assisting Music Director Yannick Nezet-Seguin and regularly leading their pre-concert lectures.

Caleb possesses a wide range of musical experiences both on and off the podium. Growing up in south-central Virginia, he began his musical studies as a violinist at a young age. Orchestral music found a prominent place in Caleb’s musical language early in his studies. Caleb’s undergraduate experience presented him with a variety of performance opportunities in a multitude of guises. He performed frequently as a violinist, a singer, and a student conductor with the Cairn University Chorale, Symphony Orchestra, and Opera Theater programs, as well as in solo recitals. During his senior year, he performed the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto as a soloist with the Cairn University Symphony Orchestra and as a violin soloist for the Fauré Requiem. He participated in the David Kim Orchestral Institute, a string intensive based in Philadelphia, for several years. He has performed multiple opera and musical theatre roles, including Papageno (The Magic Flute) and Dulcamara (The Elixir of Love), and prepared full-length vocal and violin recitals.
