TRAVEL INFORMATION

***As you make your travel plans to Valencia, please read all information below BEFORE
booking your flight(s) or making other transportation arrangements.

Delta Air Lines has provided a discount code for ICG Conference travelers, but sometimes it is less expensive to fly to Madrid or Barcelona and take the high-speed train to Valencia.
See Jon Mitchell's note, below.

***Important advice about flying to Valencia by ICG Board Member, Jon Mitchell:
"While I have found the airfare to Valencia to be expensive, round trip airfare to Madrid is not.
Finnair and Iberia have direct flights from the US East Coast. There is a high-speed train (about 1 hour and 40 minutes) between Madrid's Atocha station and Valencia's Joaquin Sorolla station that is inexpensive (ca. $30), convenient to the Metro and not far from the Valencia town center.
It is suggested that one book the high-speed train a couple of weeks in advance."

Valencia Airport (IATA: VLC, ICAO: LEVC), commonly known as Manises Airport, is the main international and domestic airport serving the city of Valencia and its province in Spain.  It is located 8 kilometers (5 miles) west of Valencia city.

VLC Airport is a hub for Iberia regional (Air Nostrum), Vueling and Ryanair.
Top 10 destinations from Valencia Airport are Paris,
London, Palma de Mallorca, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Madrid, Milan, Rome, Ibiza and Brussels.

***Delta Airlines does not fly directly to Valencia from the US East Coast. You will need to fly into
Amsterdam or Paris, or Frankfurt, etc., and transfer for a flight to Valencia, OR, as mentioned above, fly directly to Madrid or Barcelona and take the high-speed train to Valencia.
