TWO AMAZING REASONS TO ATTEND 
THE INTERNATIONAL CONDUCTORS GUILD DALLAS CONFERENCE 

We are so pleased to announce two outstanding masterclasses
during the 2025 Dallas Conference of the International Conductors Guild! 
 

  

The first masterclass will be held on Saturday, January 17 - 9:00am - 10:30am with Gramming Award winning conductor, Maestro Fabio Luisi, Music Director of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.  Maestro Luisi is Principal Conductor of the Danish National Symphony Orchestra (DNSO), and Principal Conductor of Tokyo’s NHK Orchestra. He is also Music Director of Puglia’s Festival della Valle d’Itria and Emeritus Conductor of Turin’s RAI National Symphony Orchestra. His 2025-26 highlights include Madama Butterfly in concert with the Dallas Symphony, a world premiere with the NHK Symphony, new Scriabin and Schoenberg recordings in the DNSO’s centennial season, and returns to the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Vienna Symphony, Dutch National Opera, and Zurich Opera.  

3 conductors will be selected via application for the masterclass with Maestro Luisi and the Southern Methodist University Symphony Orchestra.   

  

The second masterclass will be held on Saturday, January 17 - 11:00am - 12:00pm with Mr. Bobby R. Francis and Mr. Edward Cumming and the Southern Methodist University Wind Ensemble.  Mr. Francis isa Professor and Director of Bands at Texas Christian University. He serves as Conductor of the TCU Wind Symphony, teaches graduate and undergraduate conducting, and is responsible for the supervision of all aspects of the TCU Band and Wind Conducting programs. Mr. Francis is an elected member of the American Bandmasters Association (ABA). Mr. Cumming is the Martha Raley Peak Director of Orchestral Studies at Meadows School of the Arts in 2024. He comes to SMU from The Hartt School, where he was Director of Orchestral Studies. Cumming was also Music Director of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, hailed for its remarkable artistic growth during his tenure.  

3 conductors will be selected via application for the masterclass with Mr. Francis and Mr. Cumming and the Southern Methodist University Wind Ensemble. 

Applications are due Friday, December 12, 2025 and those selected will be notified Monday, December 15, 2025.

NO AGE or EXPERIENCE LIMIT!

Conductors selected must be registered for the Dallas Conference and active members, or new members, of the International Conductors Guild.
